Pros:

  • Good flying experience with JetBlue Airline.
  • Much More legroom, seats almost always have TVs, good snack options.
  • Lots of flights to destinations in Florida, Mexico, and the Carribean from the Northeast, which aren’t Spirit-level cheap, but tend to be cheaper than American/Delta/United.
  • Recently joined an alliance with a few foreign airlines, including Emirates and Aer Lingus, if you’re looking to earn points redeemable for international travel. The absence of mid-continent hubs means that coast-to-coast flights are mostly non-stop, and tend to be cheaper than the non-stops offered by the big three.

Cons:

  • Few flights have a Business/First class, so if you want this, you should probably go elsewhere.
  • No flights to Europe/Asia/Africa/Australia. It has a bunch of partner airlines though, some of which (Emirates) are super swanky, while others  are not quite so much.
  • Doesn’t serve a lot of cities nationally. Here  is the list of cities it serves, which is a lot smaller than the big 3  airlines. Most of the cities it does server are on or relatively close to the coasts.
  • Customer service is not so good.

As of June, 2017, JetBlue Airways flies to 101 destinations in North, Central, and South America; including destinations in Aruba, The Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Maarten, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands and the United States. On May 6, 2015, JetBlue was one of the first airlines to be granted a license to commence charter flights to Cuba, with flights departing from New York City. The weekly service began on July 3, 2015, with 150-seat Airbus A320s.
